Cairo – Bahariya – White Desert – Farafra
For those interested in exploring the Western Desert like the first explorers once did hundreds of years ago. Our Camel safaris bring you the answer. You will be travelling via Camel among a caravan, escorted by Bedouin locals. The Bedouins will explain the desert’s Eco system, reading tracks, looking for water, starting campfire and most of all the secrets of the incomparable Bedouin tea.
Our Camel safaris are fun, safe and adventurous, we use the most tolerant and sturdy Camels, as well as the best quality saddles for Camels, which provide safety and comfort. In the unlikely case of illness or emergency, a medically equipped car will be meeting us daily at our campsite. This safari is tailored for travelers with a keen sense of adventure and the young-at-heart.

Day 1 : Drive from Cairo to Farafra with a Minibus (L/D)
Drive from Cairo to Farafra with a Minibus. Lunch in Bahariya. After a bath in the hot springs slightly outside of the Oasis , dinner and accommodation in Hotel .
Day 2 : Bir Sahara - start with the camels to the “ White Desert “ (B/L/D)
Drive from Farafra to “ Bir Sahara “, where we meet the camels and get acquainted with handling and riding them . Now we start with the camels to the “ White Desert “. On the way we have lunch at the famous “ Mushrooms “. Then we go deeper into the desert to a place we call “ The White House “, where we stay the first night (approx. 20 km ).
Day 3 : El – Aakabat (B/L/D)
From the “ White House “ we go to “ El – Aakabat “ . We have lunch in “ Wadi El – Nagfi “ and stay over night in the cave “ El –Chur” ( Approx. 35 km ).
Day 4 : Gabal El – Taridir (B/L/D)
From the cave we proceed to “ Gabal El – Taridir “. Lunch on the way. After an unforgettable sunset we enjoy the stew prepared on the open fire and sleep under the stars ( approx. 25 km ) .
Day 5 : Gur Hadid (B/L/D)
From “Gabal El –Taridir “ we go to “ Gur Hadid “ . Lunch in “Chabur “ and accommodation in “Gur Haddid “. ( approx. 25 km ) .
Day 6 : Bir Sahara - back to Farafra (B/L/D)
Return to “ Bir Sahara “, the starting point of our trip. There we say good – bye to the camels, get into the cars and drive back to Farafra. Visit of badr’s museum, a local artist. Walk in the romantic gardens around the oasis. In the evening, bath in hot spring and accommodation in Hotel
Day 7 : Return to Cairo through Bahariya (B/L)
After breakfast, return to Cairo through Bahariya, where we have lunch at “ Bayoumi”. Arrival in Cairo before sunset. End of the seven days camel safari.
